Physiotherapy Practitioner

We offer Specialist Physiotherapy Clinics, for patients with muscular, joint or bone problems. These clinics are held four times a week and are staffed by an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner.

The appointments will be an alternative to a GP appointment. This video link explains their role.

Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners in General Practice – Physiotherapy

Assessment may include x-ray or blood-testing if appropriate.  Analgesia can be advised or prescribed if required. Should continued treatment be required, then an onward referral to Physiotherapy can be made. If specialist advice is required, then a referral can be made to a specialist hospital clinic.

If you telephone for an appointment for a muscle, bone or joint problem, reception staff will be able to offer an appointment in the Specialist Physiotherapy Clinic 

Our Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner can help with:

  • Back pain/sciatica
  • Neck Pain/Whiplash
  • Joint Pain & stiffness e.g. pain in your knee, shoulder, wrist or hand and osteoarthritis
  • Sprains & strains e.g. pain in your knee, ankle or calf
  • Weakness or de-conditioning after injury or surgery
  • Loss of confidence with movement and physical activity.
